Arise Suicide Prevention
I have had several people close to me in my life committ suicide to inlcude my favorite uncle Kevin. I determined then to be a light to those who needed help. So I created ARISE with the intention of using both those talents to help kids, teens, parents, and anyone else who may be struggling with losing someone to suicide or may be suicidal themselves.
ARISE focuses on preventing suicide by helping people live happier lives in the here and now by celebrating life through music. Our mission is to reach out to two groups of people, who have lost someone to suicide and those who struggle with suicidal thoughts and actions.
We want to focus on celebrating life, and prevent suicide by helping people live happier in the now. To build a community where people do not judge each other, but rather support each other in struggles and successes.
We are here to help create awareness and truly impact people through our concert presentation. Because we know that more help will be needed after the concert and we also know that we cannot be all things, we will partner with organizations who share the vision and will be willing to help the people that we send to them.
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." - Martin Luther King, Jr
WHERE DOES THE FUNDING COME FROM AND WHERE DOES IT GO?
Funding that we receive goes towards making the concerts happen. EVERY PENNY from the Indiegogo campaign will go towards recording music that will be given to students for free at the concerts, the equipment, and promo materials.
Our main source of funding are sponsors and a minimum amount from each school or district we perform in. Those funds go to paying for the 10 piece band's time, the light and sound staff, and for materials to GIVE AWAY at the concert.
WE DO NOT CHARGE THE KIDS FOR OUR SERVICES. In fact, at the end of the concert, we want to GIVE AWAY our music to the kids to have and listen to at any time. We are here to assist in permanently eliminating suicide from our schools.
